These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Academic Method website at academicmethod.com and all associated products, courses, and services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our Services.

By creating an account, purchasing a course, or otherwise using our Services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age (or have parental/guardian consent), have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them.

2. Account Registration

To access certain Services, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

3. Course Access and Licences

Upon purchasing a course, Academic Method grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and view the course content for personal, non-commercial educational purposes. You may not:

Share, redistribute, or resell course content
Download or copy content except where explicitly permitted
Use course materials for commercial purposes without written permission
Create derivative works based on our content

4. Intellectual Property

All content on our website and within our courses — including text, video, audio, graphics, frameworks, and methodologies — is the intellectual property of Academic Method or its licensors. The Academic Method name, logo, and brand are protected trademarks. Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership rights.

5. Payments and Refunds

All prices are displayed in the applicable currency and include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed securely via our payment providers. Our refund policy: if you are unsatisfied with a course, contact us within 14 days of purchase at hello@academicmethod.com and we will review your request. Refunds are issued at our discretion on a case-by-case basis.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to use our Services to:

Violate any applicable law or regulation
Infringe the intellectual property rights of Academic Method or any third party
Post or transmit unlawful, harmful, or offensive content in any community features
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
Use automated tools to scrape or copy content

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Academic Method does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not guarantee specific outcomes or results from using our courses or methodologies.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Academic Method shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the relevant Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Third-Party Services

Our Services may integrate with or link to third-party platforms and services. We are not responsible for the practices or content of such third parties and encourage you to review their respective terms and policies.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct harmful to Academic Method or its users. Upon termination, your licence to access course content will cease.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will provide notice of material changes. Continued use of our Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
